CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Introductory Session:    This the first step in joining our community. This session is mandatory prior to attending any of Queen City Kettlebell’s classes as this is THE introduction to “Hard Style” Russian kettlebell training!  You will learn the essential techniques to training properly with kettlebells.  Students will receive detailed instruction and feedback ensuring that their kettlebell practice is done with safety and precision.

At our facility we believe in safety first and quality over quantity. With that in mind, we realize that not everyone is ready for Kettlebell Training or any other training if the circumstance presents itself. Before we begin these sessions, we require students to meet certain flexibility and mobility requirements through a short private lesson in this ‘Intro’ to ensure you are ready to participate safely in the class setting. Currently there is no prerequisite to taking this introductory session.

This session is a time that is convenient for you.

Kettlebell Conditioning:    This 45-minute class is designed to spark your metabolism, and not just for a couple of hours. We are talking for 36 hours. In this session we will use a variety of training tools; bodyweight, TRX, Battling Ropes, Kettlebells, Tires, Medicine Balls, and any other tool of our choosing to “blitz” the metabolism. This is for those clients that have attended 1 or more intro sessions.  This class will focus on the kettlebell swing and all its variations while improving your conditioning.

Morning / Mid Day / Evening Kettlebell:    These 45-minute sessions are designed to get you in the best shape of your life. Consistency is the key to success! Each class is set up to build on the previous session, both in intensity and skill. In these sessions you will also continue to practice, improve, and hone basic kettlebell skills, conditioning, and learn more advanced kettlebell skills.

Barbell:    In order to be strong you must have a solid foundation of general strength. There is no better way to accomplish this than to get under the heavy weight of the bar. This where to learn the barbell lifts – and where to learn them right!

Movement:     Movement has certainly been around for a while and has countless variations and styles, each of which has its own contributions to growth and development.  We are primarily interested in the body’s natural biomechanics and positive effects on physical performance. One style of ‘movement‘ should not define how the body should move.
