It’s that time of year again! In case you’re new around here: each year we tackle the January Whole30 as a community, kicking off this year on Tuesday, January 1st. If you’ve been on the fence about trying a Whole30, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. Not only will you be doing something to prioritize your health and wellness, learning how food affects YOU as an individual, but you’ll also be living our one of our core values, which is to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
If you’re unfamiliar about what the Whole30 is, in short, it’s consuming no alcohol, no added sugar, no grains, legumes or dairy for 30 days. You can read more about the Whole30 program and its benefits HERE.
Is it challenging? We won’t lie, it can be. It will require self-discipline and some advance planning as you navigate your way through meal prep and ensuring that you have an option at the ready if you’re traveling or eating in a restaurant. This is where doing this as part of a larger group is a huge advantage: you’ll have the accountability to keep you on track, and the guidance to help you navigate your way through any situation that comes up. Our veteran coaches lead you through the process step-by-step, day by day, giving you tips of what to expect and reminders along the way. We also encourage all of those who are participating to provide tips and recipes in the Facebook group as well.
We’ve outlined the complete rules for participating in THIS POST, but in short, you will need to log your food each day in the corresponding day’s post in our Facebook community. That’s it. Last year we upped the ante and added “bonus” challenges of posting your hours of sleep and steps taken, as one more tool to measure progress over the month, however, it is not mandatory.
